Vida Education are currently seeking experienced secondary teaching assistants who are looking to work in Blackpool and the surrounding areas of the Fylde Coast doing day to day or long-term cover for Secondary schools starting immediately after the Easter break.
This role is ideal for anyone looking for flexible term time work in a classroom based environment, and Vida education can offer you as much or as little teaching assistant work depending on your own requirement.
Your role as a Secondary Teaching Assistant can either be day to day where you can pick and choose which days you wish to work, or either a long term commitment or permanent roles.
You will be tasked with supporting the teachers and ensuring the students are fulfilling their academic potential. What you’ll need to succeed It is essential that any candidate considering this position has experience working with students with special educational needs. You will need to demonstrate an enthusiastic and caring attitude to work as you will be required to work in small groups or 1-1 with students
Secondary Schools are looking for teaching assistants that are:
• Able to demonstrate their previous experience working within Secondary Schools
• Passionate about working in education
• Experienced working with children on a one to one or small group basis
• Adaptable, and able to work in a challenging setting
• Interested in working in a different environment
• Committed, resilient and caring

As you are working with children, safeguarding and child welfare is paramount and an Enhanced DBS is required for the role, this can be discussed further upon application.
